Well they have meatballs. I guess that would be the only choice. Not sure if they have a gluten free bun or not.
Technically yes, but the restrom Is really small.
Yes exactly they are about there meat and the best bread to go with the different meat flavors.
Surounding farm raised animals. That's what I was told by our server.
They don't take reservations. Best thing to do is show up a few minutes before they open (usually 5:00). They also don't like to combine tables for larger parties so if you have a big party they usually complain
They have sliders with various fillings and meatballs as well as a kid's section on the menu.
I believe you can. But probably only in person, not over the phone.
I'm not sure of catering but I know Mondays all there meatballs are $3 a piece which is actually the best way in my opinion to try all the variety of meat that have along with there amazing house made sauces.
We had decided to go last night during burger week. Understand this during pandemic, so capacity limited. We ordered meatballs- kangaroo, bison & dry aged all were yummy! We liked the kangaroo the most. The seasonal salad topped with candied walnuts was nice crisp greens & sliced fresh strawberries with balsamic dressing very nice on the palate. Side of fries w/ truffle flavoring unique blend. We didn’t try any of the varieties of beer or dessert. After the COVID-19 I want to go back and have more time to tryother items on menu. Well done Game 👍
There's not much I can say about this place that hasn't been said in every other review...Can it get a little busy? Sure. Is it on the higher price end for a burger? Sure. Does McDonald's offer a value meal with wild boar and truffle fries? Nope.I highly recommend the alpaca, anything that comes with pork belly, and don't even think about ordering fries if you don't opt for cooking them in duck fat! The beer menu is on point, the staff is always friendly and willing to offer suggestions, and the food is definitely some of the best you'll find in Louisville!
Service was awesome. The waiter went above and beyond to explain the menu. Not very many tables so get there early, but it’s worth it.
This place was awesome. Pretty small place, so I imagine it fills up quickly. The food is delicious! They have all types of burgers to choose from - from Kangaroo to salmon to elk patties. What I thought was really cool, though, is they also have vegetarian options as well. Sweet potato fries werr delicious and they have a decent selection of brews!
Awesome experience. Food was great interesting choices and their servers where very attentive! Ate duck, boar, and alpaca!
It was my first time there. The meatballs are a great way to test the different flavors and meats. Great food and the service was great as well. Definitely going to be going back to try more!!
Food was FIRE!🔥🔥🔥 Full menu of all kinds of mouth watering game bites. Gourmet burgers, and try a meat ball of something you've never had. I will absolutely be back!
Excellent choice of meats and burgers. The duck burger was delicious and mouth watering.
Easily one of the best burger joints in Lousiville! You can build your own burger. Bean burger is off the charts! Multiple meats and cheeses and toppings available. I highly recommend this spot 😎👍🇺🇸
This place is amazing. A little pricey but definitely worth it, even for those to the vegetarian side. I highly recommend trying a variety of meats at different visits, they each really have their own profile. Best compliment i can give this place is their sweet potato fries are delicious. I do not like sweet potato. You still get the flavor but the cook on them is perfect with the right balance of salt to really make them a treat.
The flavors at Game are SO GOOD. I also love the amount of options for types of game and the fact that you can choose to get a meatball sampler of different game if you want to taste a bunch of different ones! We tried the frog legs one time and they were good, just super messy. This time we tried the scotch eggs and wow, those were amazing! So far my favorite meat has been the kangaroo! They seem to run out of Alpaca a lot so don’t be surprised if they don’t have it when you go. It’s good though and that’s probably why. The service is pretty good there and the food doesn’t usually take very long to get to you. The parking situation is a bit tough, but you can also park across the street by the brick wall and cross the street to get to Game if needed. I typically go weeknights just due to how busy they get! They are small so the seating is limited, but I haven’t had any problems on weeknights finding a table! This is a great spot!
The experience is more so for the idea of eating some unique things rather than having a meal. It's a fun place to go occasionally with a group of friends but I wouldn't recommend it for a date or as a regular dinner joint.
Waitress was helpful in describing options not normally found on most menus. We all tried a variety of meats but agreed the best of our four was venison burger.
Great place, great food, great service. The burgers were amazing. If you are in the area you should most definitely give it a try.
This is a very unique restaurant, and the staff was helpful and enthusiastic. The food was great! They have vegetarian options, but to me, this was about the unique meat options. We had a sampler of meatballs of wild boar, kangaroo, and alpaca. Before the main entree. Can't wait to go back
YUM! I'm not sure what else to say! Everything we had was excellent. The scotch eggs with Pork Belly. The Bison Burger, the Wagu Burger, and the meatball samplers were all excellent. The service was prompt and friendly. The server gave good recommendations and was not put off in the least with all of our questions.
Proud of my hometown favorite. I send visiting clients here boasting the beer variety and great flavor of all the unique selections. Truffle fries and bison burger are to die for. It's no wonder they are always busy! Try the meatball samplers. You can't go wrong.
Good food and good service.
One of my favorite local restaurants! This quaint place offers an excellent selection on various "game". I love getting the meatballs so I can try various ones even though I already know which are my favs! The corn is melt in your mouth flavorful and worth getting the kernels stuck in your teeth for. Finally I always get 2 sides of fries; one truffle and one duck fat. It's just too hard to choose the best one! There is a large selection of beer and bourbon. They do have wine but my only suggestion would be to add a few more semi-sweet options. When guests from out of town ask where to go, this is a definite recommendation. Oh, and did I mention the service has always been excellent!
Great experience here. The place gets very busy so be prepared to wait, just k ow that it is worth it. Nice variety of different meats to choose from. Juicy and cooked fresh. One of the sister restaurants to Hammerheads. You won't be disappointed!
Definitely a five star experience. I honestly didn't care much for the kangaroo burger, but it was not because of anything Game did wrong. The fries are a MUST have. Best I've had in a long time. Add in a bottle of beer from Deschutes and I'm happy.Be prepared to spend 17-25 per person.
The food and atmosphere were amazing. Super flavorful meats to choose from. The staff were attentive and amazingly kind. I brought a party of 12 for my husband's birthday party and they were very nice and attentive to everyone at the table. The Alpaca and Elk meat were the favorite meats at the table. Thank you and we will be visiting again.
I had a Kangaroo burger because I'm coming from Australia. Tastes like kangaroo that I've had before, although that's only a handful of times. Like the vibe and the setting.
The alpaca burger was extremely juicy and had a sweetness to the meat. Lots of fresh toppings to pick from. Service was speedy and attentive. Definitely will be back to try another kind of meat.
This was our 2nd experience at Game and we couldn't have had a more enjoyable meal. We went early Saturday and were seated immediately. The frog legs and bone marrow are our favorite starters. The elk, wild boar and kangaroo to finish us off... just to name a FEW that we love. Thank you. We will see you again soon.
Great food! Flavors just explode in your mouth, definitely worth it. A must go.
If you are a curious carnivore, this is the place for you. I highly recommend "Meatball Mondays". The service is outstanding. The bar is well stocked. Prices are reasonable.
Food is great, very rich and authentic. Delicious.
We stopped by at 7 on a Thursday. No wait, but by 7:30 a wait started. Atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Server was very knowledgeable of all the offerings as my daughter was grilling him as she tried to learn. Frog legs weren't special and could be ordered around town for less. Bone marrow spread was flavorful. We had kangaroo, alpaca Angus and dry aged burgers. All were extremely filling and delicious. Side of fries is plenty for 1. The basket is for sharing. Duck fat fries were amazing. The food was salty so beware. We had group of 5 adults and a teen. Bill was $150 before tip. We do plan on returning. Great beer selection.
Absolutely fantastic Burger. Asparagus is top-shelf also.
I had 4 different kinds of meatballs. Wild boar, venison, alpaca, and elk. Overall they were ok, but I think I liked the boar most. The appetizer of scotch eggs were great, although it was made with the sausage around them but the pork belly was great. I really enjoyed the taste of the burger but it taste like they use onion soup mix in the meat. The bacon was ok but too thin. I would come back here for the scotch eggs alone.
This is my favorite restaurant in Louisville. Do not miss this. Be adventurous and try something. Literally nothing is bad here.
The service was good, the food was fantastic, we were checked on often by our waiter. If you go I would recommend getting there early. They do not have many tables and they filled up quickly.
Get the kangaroo, it's so buttery and delicious.
Excellent choices of game burgers with nice fusion. Should try the mac and cheese. Nice IPA on tap and cans. Will definitely be eating there again. Check out their other establishments.
Really good exotic meat burgers and meatballs. Try the s'mores desert!
My husband and I had the alpaca burger with jalapeño jam sauce and we were absolutely happy with the food and service and the quality of the meat. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our family and friends. And we will be coming back.
Very thick burgers and filled me up. I had the elk burger for $13. Side of fries was an extra $3, everything tasted very good and the owner was very friendly. A little pricey but still deserves 5 star.
Great place to try new foods. All the meatballs are great. If you like different types of meat this is your place! Service was good also!
Game meats that "you can't get back home." Their scotch eggs are to die for. Highly recommend the meatball sampler and go crazy with it. The alpaca, duck, kangaroo, wild boar, and bison were all amazing. No, they don't taste like chicken! If you want chicken, go to KFC and let your seat be used by someone else. 😜 The staff and their service are top-notch. 10/10 will be back!
I have always loved this place, and I’m so happy I am still able to get it at this moment in time. I got a fried green tomato veggie sandwich, mac n cheese, and sweet potato fries and it was exceptional. The girl let me pay over the phone and brought it to me when I arrived. 10/10 will continue to order from them during quarantine, and also in real life. Support local folks.
I have absolutely fallen in love with this place. the variety of meats, the selection of beers, the oh my God size and taste of a serving of french fries, the aioli mayonnaise preserves, on and on and on are just remarkable. Get the grilled veggies if they're available. Oh, I almost forgot the salad -- get the salad by all means. The only two things I might pass on are the grilled Caesar and the bone marrow. Not the best value on the menu.
Great food, cabin vibe. Definitely a must visit for meat lovers. Even the fries taste different because of the oil it's cooked in. Please arrive hungry!
Third time my family has eaten here, my first. We tried the meatball sampler, the wild boar nachos, and the pork belly with scotch eggs. All of which did not disappoint. We all had different burgers as well and all were cooked as ordered. Our server (Corey) was on point all the time we were there. The place was busy and still maintained Covid distancing. I am so happy to go to places like this and have a wonderful meal with a wonderful atmosphere. We will be back. Highly recommend.
I specifically asked for my burger to be fully cooked and it was served raw in the middle and then asked for another and the portion I had was cooked again to return back to me raw again for the second time. Our waiter was very hard to find as he seemed to have forgotten about us and we had to get a hold of another one to help us. So we definitely didn't get what we paid for and our experience and service was terrible so we don't wish to come back.
Place is pretty good. Meat is what you expect and seems high quality at that. I only wish they included fries in the price of the burger. It’s a little pricey for what you get. Service was nice and I like the concept + execution.
I was so excited to try Game and was terribly disappointed. I had gift car with their name on it, but they wouldn’t take it because they said they were under new ownership. We got carry out and they did not label which meatball was which so we had no idea what we were trying. The Mac and cheese was dry. Everything just lacked flavor. Wish I would have just saved my money.
Worth the trip (no matter where you're driving from!) This was hands down the BEST burger joint I've ever been to in my life. Everything is sustainably sourced. They have lots of exotic meat options and 3 different veggie burgers as well. A huge beverage selection with lots of great local beers. Our server was fantastic and took excellent care of us. Truly an amazing experience. We will definitely be back.
Second time was even better than the last, I picked the meatballs and got 4 different ones and each one was delicious. Had the Alpaca, Kangaroo, Wild Boar and Waygu beef topped it with a garlic aioli and brie cheese with a side of duck fat fries and wish I would have taken a picture but started to eat as soon as it hit the table and didn't stop.
Delicious and different! The Scotch eggs were absolutely amazing. The alpaca burger was lean and tasty, and my friend loved the bison tongue (!) sliders. Our server got a bit overwhelmed as more people came in (this was just as restaurants were reopening from Covid closures), but he could not have been any friendlier or helpful with the menu. The sink handle in the men's room was broken, but the hot water worked, so it wasn't a food safety concern, just a maintenance need. I will definitely be back to try some of the other unusual items. $95 for four beers, one app, two entrees, and a shared basket of truffle fries.
